FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q: WHAT DOES OUR MATERIAL LOOK LIKE?
A: Our material
is sold as it is in the stockpile at the time of delivery. We cannot guarantee any precise shade, color, or sizing of
the material. We do not have any control over the amount of crusher dust or fines in the material. We invite you
to examine our stockpiles any time you wish.
Q: HOW MUCH FINES CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE MATERIAL?
A:
The material being crushed produces fines. Anything smaller than the desired size material can be considered fines.
For the most part, fines can be considered powder. As stated to us by our suppliers, sized crushed material (screened)
can consist of 5% to 25% fines, and minus materials or decomposed granites can consist of 50% to 80% fines. These fines can
be tracked and discolor other areas of your home, especially when wet, and if you have pets that go in and out of the house
regularly. Rip Rap may even have some dirt in it.

Q: WHERE CAN OUR TRUCKS DUMP?
A: Material
is typically dumped curbside. You should mark the dumped material with construction tape, cones, etc. for safety.
Any other dump site will depend on such things as the width of the opening, the amount of clearance in the alley, overhead
obstructions, etc. You should have an alternate site selected in advance.
Q: CAN OUR TRUCKS DUMP OVER FENCES OR
WALLS?
A: No, attempting to do this could result in property damage or damage to the truck.
Q: WILL
OUR TRUCKS DAMAGE DRIVEWAYS OR SIDEWALKS?
A: There is always that possibility. If
the ground is wet or soft beneath them, the weight of the truck may cause damage. If you request that the truck cross
such pavement, you are responsible for any damages incurred.
Q: IF I PAY IN ADVANCE, CAN YOU DELIVER WHEN NO ONE IS HOME?
A: Yes, provided you have signed the invoice, which gives us permission to enter your property, and you
assume responsibility for any possible damage to driveways, sidewalks, etc. within the curb line. We also need a good
description of your first and second choice of dumpsites. The use of a stake or other markers will be helpful.
If the delivery cannot be made due to a lack of a suitable dumpsite, you will be asked to pay for truck charges to return
the material to our yard.
Q: WILL WE MAKE C.O.D. DELIVERIES?
A: Our truck will not
leave our yard until someone is reached by phone. C.O.D. deliveries can be made as long as the homeowner
takes full responsibility for the dumpsite and payment is by cash or check only. If the delivery cannot be made
due to no one meeting the truck as agreed or due to a lack of a suitable dumpsite, you will be asked to pay for
truck charges to return the material to our yard.
